Audio Looper

How to Loop a Section

  1. Upload an audio file (MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG, or AAC).
  2. Click Play and listen for the part you want to loop.
  3. Drag across the waveform to select a region, or click Set A and Set B at the start and end points.
  4. Click Loop A→B to repeat the section on loop.

Why Loop Practice Works

Looping isolates a problem so you can solve it. Instead of playing an entire song and stumbling over the same 4 bars each time, you drill those 4 bars directly. Repetition with focus beats repetition with distraction every time.

For learning solos, transcribing complex passages, or drilling tricky rhythm parts, a section looper is one of the highest-leverage practice tools you can use.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I loop a section of a song?

Upload your audio file, then play and click "Set A" at the start point and "Set B" at the end point. Click "Loop A→B" and the section will repeat.

Does my audio get uploaded to your server?

No. The audio stays in your browser — nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and nothing is shared. That is also why there is no rate limit and no signup.

What file types are supported?

MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG, and AAC. Max file size is 50MB. For copyrighted music, only use files you own or have the right to use.

Why use a looper for practice?

Looping a short section lets you hear and play it dozens of times in a focused way, which accelerates learning way faster than replaying the whole song. Essential for learning solos, tricky licks, or hard sections.

Can I change the speed or pitch?

Not in this free tool — for tempo and pitch changes without distortion, you need the full VampJam practice tools (tempo trainer and true pitch shift).

Want more than just looping?

VampJam adds tempo slowdown without pitch changes, true pitch shift for transposing, stem separation to isolate instruments, chord detection, and a lot more. The full practice toolkit.
