What happens if generation fails — do I lose my token?

No. If a generation fails, your token is automatically refunded. You'll only be charged for successful generations.

How do upgrades and downgrades work?

Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing — you only pay the difference for the rest of your current cycle. Downgrades are scheduled for the end of your billing period, so you keep your current tier until then.

Your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, you drop to the free tier. You keep all your saved tracks and recordings — nothing is deleted.

Yes! Use Quick Mix mode to select key, scale, tempo, genre, feel, and instruments from dropdowns. Or use Open Prompt mode to describe exactly what you want in your own words (up to 500 characters).

Why does my backing track sometimes have lead instruments?

AI generation isn't perfect — the model occasionally adds lead lines despite prompting against it. This is more common with blues and jazz genres. Try being more specific about instruments (e.g., "bass and drums only, no guitar") or use instrument exclusions in Quick Mix mode.

Yes! Upload MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, or AAC files (up to 20MB). Uploaded tracks get the same practice tools as generated ones. Upload limits vary by tier.

Stem separation splits a track into individual instruments — drums, bass, vocals, guitar, piano, and other. You can then mute, solo, or adjust the volume of each stem independently. Great for isolating parts to learn or removing instruments you want to play yourself. Costs 1 token.

How does the transpose tool work?

The transpose tool shifts the pitch of your track up or down in semitone increments. Quick mode changes both pitch and tempo together (instant, no processing). True pitch shift that preserves tempo is coming soon for Creator+ tiers.

The tempo trainer gradually increases playback speed while you practice — perfect for building technique. Set an increment (2-10%), an interval (every 30 seconds to 5 minutes), and a max speed. Available on Creator+ tiers.

Yes! Practice Recording (Creator+) lets you record your mic over the backing track. Choose "Record Me + Track" for a mixed recording, or "Just My Audio" for mic only. Includes count-in and latency compensation.

Chord detection is approximately 80% accurate. It shows chord names with timestamps synced to playback. You can manually override any detected chords. Always trust your ear over the detection.
